
If this is the first time you have tried to open a Microsoft Office file via Dropbox, you will be prompted to add Microsoft Office to Dropbox. Top open this Excel file I need to click Open top right of the screen. You may be asked to verify your email address at this point as well. You will be prompted to name the folder, and to add someone’s email address to invite them. Online you can see how to create a Shared Folder: Here is my newly installed Dropbox folder. Follow the prompts and you will have it installed in no time. This will allow you to use your Dropbox Folder just like any other folder on your computer. (You will need to be the administrator to install on your computer.) Once Dropbox is on your computer, you will be prompted to download the Dropbox App. You may see some other dialogue boxes pop up, choose Run to install and then it will do its job.

You could sign up for a free account to store your documents and pictures and for each person you invited, you got more space. To some extent this will depend on your version of Office and your client’s version too. Your files could be stored in Dropbox or OneDrive for Business.
